  September is a month full of surprises and that brought the artistic inner talent and skills to celebrate a great endeavor to present the best of them. Dumaguete visual artist, fine arts professor and entrepreneur Babbu Wenceslao, who owns the El Amigo Art Space along Silliman Ave. Friends ,Artist and guests celebrated the opening reception of Babbu Wenceslao’s solo exhibit, ASANAMO, last September 10 th in Mugna Art Gallery ASANAMO, which is vernacular for “Where are you?,” the artist's three most recent masterpieces as well as some of his best earlier creations. 161st Birthday of Gat Jose Rizal in Central Visayas Philippines

  The Order of the  Knights of Rizal, Central Visayas with the regional commander Sir Rafael Crescencio Tan,KCR , led the celebration of the 161st birth anniversary of Philippine National Hero, Dr. Jose Rizal, at Manuel Luis Quezon Park Dumaguete City Negros Oriental. Sir Dr. Henry A. Sojor, KGOR and Former Amb.Macarthur Flores Corsino ,KGOR Negrosanon Knights of Rizal with a wreath-laying ceremony. Sir Dr. Cesar P. Estrope Ph.D. KOR is our Rizal birthday speaker. This was followed by a fellowship breakfast at Joshua 1, Bethel Guest House. The Fellowship speaker is Sir Dr  Greg Elnas Baccay JD KCR. Brother Knights of the Dumaguete City and Negros Oriental Chapters attend in their KOR Barong and National medal of honor. ALLTOGETHER : Negros Oriental Women's Art Exhibition

  ALLTOGETHER is an all-women art exhibition committed to creating an avenue for the amplification of the female voice in our society. Although it is an identity-centered event, it veers away from reducing the artwork’s value to its creator’s gender and separates it from broader histories of art. It seeks, rather, to create a convergence of creative exchange and build a framework for productive networking among the 37 local women artists of Negros Oriental .   In celebration of International Women’s Month, to showcase the creativity of Negrosanon women in the field of Visual Arts. The exhibition was spearheaded by seasoned artist and Folk singer  Jana Jumalon of Network of Artists  in Negros Oriental (NANO)  ALLTOGETHER is an all-women art exhibition committed to creating an avenue for the amplification of the female voice in society. Bayawan City Tawo Tawo 2022

  Bayawan City is very well known as the Agricultural Capital of Negros Oriental and  its  Tawo-tawo Festival , also known as the  Scarecrow Festival , which the people of  Bayawan  annually celebrate on the 18th of February. Thanksgiving for a good harvest and also to give honor and praise to their city patron saint Santo Tomas Villanueva as they celebrate this festival. The Tawo-tawo Festival focuses on the great difference the tawo-tawo has brought the city after driving the crows away. Empty tin cans and bamboo clappers are utilized in providing for the music. Canned music is not used during street dancing as they prefer live music provided by indigenous materials made into traditional musical instruments.  The indigenous costumes and the choreography of the dances provide for the interest
