Dumaguete City honors COVID-19 frontliners on 122nd Independence Day

A simple celebration for the 122nd anniversary of the Philippine Independence was held on Friday at the Boy Scouts of the Philippines Headquarters in Dumaguete City.

The celebration was spearheaded by the Negros Oriental - Siquijor Council of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines together with the Order of the Knights of Rizal Negros Oriental Chapter. The celebration focused on the theme, “Towards a Free United and Safe Nation”.
The ceremony was attended by a small group of BSP and KOR leaders and members.
Prof. Josefino Larena, Rover Scout and KOR deputy commander, in his keynote, lauded Frontliners in the ongoing battle against COVID-19 as modern-day heroes.

We recognize the sacrifices of these frontliners to keep our country safe and healthy.He also said: We remember our heroes, in their struggle to stop oppression, tyranny and colonization in the country.
